Designer hand sanitisers are a thing now?!
Brands such as Bvlgari, Garnier, L’Oreal and SO fragrances have started making and donating the NHS hand sanitizers in their factories.
I am aware that SO fragrances hand sanitizers are also available to buy whereas the rest are made to donate only. These brands are all pulling together to support the NHS who need all of the help that they can get right now as I’m sure you are all aware. I think this is a fantastic business and humanity moves from these well-known and already respected brands.
Desperate times call for desperate measures ~ How to cut and dye your own hair
Some content has been taken from other articles. This has been stated with a link below quotes taken from published articles.

I don’t know about you but I have never cut my own hair. I’ve dyed it a few times with pink dye but it has always been semi-permanent and a bit of fun. If I messed it up it would wash out in a few days and cutting your hair is similar, yet it will grow out eventually but getting it perfect right time will save so much time and (still at home) embarrassment.
Here are a few tips from professional hairdressers on how to cut and dye your own hair at home without messing it up!
“Use small blades ie nail scissors; the smaller the blade, the smaller the mistake. For long hair trims, plait your hair to one side over your shoulder, tie a hairband one inch up from the very ends so you can see all the ends in one bunch, then hold the hairband and make small vertical snips (by doing vertical snips you will lessen your chances of cut lines). Once you feel you have trimmed all of the longest pieces undo the plait and repeat on the other side.
If you have short hair proceed with caution as it’s much harder to get it right. Don’t get too scissor happy, hang in there. Have a go at the edges/sideburns and back of the neck, if these are kept tidy you will be amazed how long you can leave the rest.”

Though bypassing it is tempting, the strand test is key, especially when trying a new shade. Colour a few trimmed or hidden hairs first, then look at the result before you commit. A common horror story from testers who didn’t do this: hair that turned orange and purple! Unless you’re a professional, combining two different shades of hair color is not recommended ever!
Wear your gloves. Get a bowl and a brush, like salon colorists use, to mix and paint on the dye with less mess and the most even professional results. Squirting the dye out and spreading it all over your hair may be easy (and fun!), but this method can be messy and imprecise.
Begin applying dye at the roots, since they need the most color (and processing time), letting it develop per package directions. Then comb it through the rest of your hair to distribute it evenly and avoid a two-tone effect. Work in four to six sections like salon pros do (use hair clips as you go if you wish) to ensure full coverage.
Place a disposable shower cap over your head while the dye processes to prevent it from dripping. Leave it on for as long as the dye says then wash out, style and enjoy!
Take your time, it’s not like you are in any rush right now…

How to keep your brows in check without the beloved Benebabes – I miss you!

Has anyone else watched FreddyMyLoves’s most recent where she did her own at home salon treatments? It was a really good video and she showed you how to at-home wax, dye, and maintain your brows. I miss Benefit and have quite thick crazy brows myself so they definitely need maintaining!
Firstly you’ll need a decent pair of tweezers that are precise enough so you can pluck every stray hair without leaving you bald. Wax is riskier and easier to pull out too many hairs and ruin your bushy eyebrow look.
Clearly define where your boundaries should be with a marker, you can use a concealer pencil to create a parameter of where you don’t want to touch the brows and to mark the point in the brow for the start, middle and finish, To avoid hair breakage, Parti recommends gently stretching your skin, grabbing your brow hair by the root and plucking in the direction of hair growth with your tweezers. “Step by step is key,”
Step by step is key with waxing as you are removing a number of brow hairs at one time. Draw the boundaries on your brows with a concealer to ensure symmetry. Place the strip from your arch downwards and pull against the direction of hair growth. ALWAYS stretch your skin before pulling out hairs upwards.

At home waxing and laser treatment ~ Eeek?!
The best pain free tips and tools

How to prepare the skin before hair removal? Exfoliate!
If you know that you want to shave/wax/pluck etc in advance then exfoliate the exact areas you wish to de-fuzz 24 hours before you plan to carry out any treatment. This will remove any dead skin cells, make for a cleaner removal and help to prevent ingrown hairs.
Moisturizer-free zone ~ Make sure the skin is clean and free from any moisturiser or oil at the time of hair removal. You want there to be a bit of grip to make the experience as pain-free as possible.
Skin test ~ Before introducing a new product/method into your regime, always perform a skin-patch test so you’re extra certain there won’t be any nasty side effects.
Tips for waxing
Hold the skin taut and pull the strip away against the direction of the hair growth in a sharp, quick motion – pulling too slowly will cause bits of wax to remain on the skin and no one wants that!
If you have fine hair and don’t have a waxing machine, then you can try pre-coated waxing strips. You can find these in various sizes, depending on which area you want to wax.
When using hot wax it can get a little bit messy, so lay down some towels and clean up any wax spillages sooner rather than later.
Don’t wax the same area twice. Waxing removes the top layer of skin, leaving it slightly sore. Any stray hairs left after waxing should be removed with tweezers.
Apply pressure to the area you have just waxed with the palm of your hand to soothe your skin.
Wait 24 hours before applying a moisturizer to avoid irritating the skin, and choose one with cooling ingredients, like aloe vera.
Tips for epilating
Combine shaving with epilating for a smoother experience. By shaving a couple of days beforehand, the short stubble is easier to epilate.
Pull your skin taut and use it against the direction of your natural hair growth, as this will help minimize the pain.
Don’t start using one until you read our guide on how to use an epilator.
If you’re new to the world of epilating then schedule your de-fuzzing sessions in the evening (before bed) as your skin may be red for a few hours afterward.
Tips for Laser
You need to remove hair before using a laser removal device but DO NOT opt for any methods that remove the hair at the root (waxing/epilating). The root – due to the melanin within it – needs to be present to attract the laser energy. So, stick to shaving if possible!
Stay out of the sun during laser treatment, and always wear an SPF after you’ve used a laser.
If the skin feels hot to the touch, use an ice pack or cold flannel/towel to cool the area after treatment.

Wanting to try out CBD oils to stay calm? Here are my SAFE product recommendations
The beauty industry’s obsession with CBD (short for cannabidiol) – isn’t slowing down. Hailed as a “miracle cure” in the skin and body care, it’s made from the whole sativa cannabis plant, including leaves, stalks, flowers and seeds.
The plants are made up of more than 100 different cannabinoids, one of them being CBD which is different to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, the illegal psychoactive ingredient in the plant).
In the past two years, beauty brands have been inspired to include CBD in their products following a surge in consumer interest in CBD’s health benefits, along with further research into them since the legalization of medicinal cannabis (which must contain less than 0.05 percent THC) in November 2018.
But hemp oil (not to be confused with CBD) has been used in beauty products for much longer – The Body Shop has used it in its hemp collection since the Nineties – and is another cannabis derivative made from pressed hemp seeds which are also entirely natural and legal.
