Hey Guys,
I love Birchbox and they’re a company that I one day aspire to be a Digital Marketer for. They seem like such a fun, creative, inspiring and modern company whom I would love to be a part of. Not only are they a really cool company but of course their monthly boxes are amazing! They’re such an affordable monthly box of beauty treats for us beauty addicts.
Birchbox offers such an easy service.
You start off by setting up a profile and indicating your skin type, hair type and preferences. For example, my Birchbox preferences are that I have normal to dry fair skin, blonde treated hair, straight hair and I love experimenting with new makeup rather than keeping to simplicity.
Once your profile is set up you can choose how long you want to subscribe for. One month, six months or a year! The longer you subscribe the more you save. One month = £10, Six months = £60, One year = £110.
I always try and avoid unboxing and reviews of each box until I receive mine so that it’s a complete surprise. I love surprises and especially when they involve cute reusable storage boxes and beauty products. Here is what I got in my June Birchbox.
This month Birhcbox is five years old and in collaboration with Whittard. I just love Whittard for their British heritage, beautiful blue floral designs and different flavours of tea. Whittard do killer hot chocolates which I Love. too. I don’t typically like normal tea but fruit tea is a winner with me. It’s something that I love to enjoy cold in the summer so I was very excited to receive fruit teas.
Next up, I got a pressed eyeshadow in the shade ‘Faith’ from a brand called elle EDEN. I have never heard of this brand or tried anything from them so excited to test out this eyeshadow. You can’t go wrong with a brown smokey eyeshadow right! I wear either a brown or pink eyeshadow most days with some eyeliner – it’s my go-to eye look.
Next up, I received the Smoothing Balm from N’4. I’ve never tried this but I love a good smoothing balm to either straighten my hair or create a slick back ponytail. I’m excited to try this and let you guys know what I think. It claims to smooth frizzy or unruly hair.
Thirdly, I received the Bombshell Blowout Spray from Amika. This is a blow drying spray to add texture and volume to flat hair – something that I struggle with so I’m excited to try this pre-curling my hair.
Next up is an SPF 30 from Polaar which is perfect because I’m all out of PSF. SPF is so important even if it doesn’t seem super sunny outside. It’s something that I always try and remember to apply under my makeup. This SPF is water resistant and non scented so I look forward to trying this.
Finally, I received a mini-pearl effect Porefessional from Benefit. I have tried the Porefessional from Benefit before but never the ‘pearl effect’. I’m excited to try this glowly primer which will be perfect for summertime.
Have you guys tried out Bircbox yet? They’re my favourite subscription box as of yet…
See you next week for a new blog post!
