Hello everyone,
Welcome back to a new blog post. I hope you are all doing well, staying cosy and looking after yourselves? Let me know how are you doing in the comments below, let’s chat!
It feels like a long time since I have written a blog post, I really missed it.
Settling into a new job has taken up a lot of my time – mental and physical energy too. Christmas, New Year and my 25th birthday happened. Oh a luxurious trip to the Caribbean too, I can’t miss that out! My first trip in two years thanks to the pandemic! You can watch the vlog!
Anyway, enough catching up. Let’s talk about New Year’s resolutions, some people hate them and some love them. For me, I love a good excuse to make a list, set some goals and get stuck in achieving them.
You may remember my blog post last year = “How I’m going to manifest my best year yet”. I kind of accidentally got into manifesting two years ago when I manifested my Ragdoll kitten which I had wanted for ten years! My job – I had always dreamed of working with Influencers and ended up working for one called Influencer?! My ball perhaps could be a manifestation as last year I put a pink sparkly ball gown dress on my board. I had never been to a ball, I didn’t attend my prom and had the most magical, princessy night at my graduation ball. Meeting my peers in-person finally too!
This year, I have made a new manifestation board full of goals and dreams which I intend to achieve. I personally have preferred doing a manifestation over writing down daunting goals to achieve by a set time. Everyone is different so if you love writing down goals and dates to achieve them you do that! Everyone manifests and reaches goals differently however this is my way of doing it. Let’s look at this year’s board and discuss…

There is a LOT on there this year, it’s very on-brand and pink too. Yes, I even went to lengths to find a picture of a PINK water bottle. I am that extra… determined to stay on brand always as a Marketer haha. This is actually my laptop wallpaper and is proudly displayed as a widget on my iPhone. It is in my face to remind me of my goals and dreams that I will (not want to) achieve by the end of 2022.
That still feels weird to type…
I will talk you guys through it from left to right. Hopefully, my board will inspire some of your goals and dreams to note down and achieve this year. I have tried to keep my board as achievable as possible. The feeling you get when succeeding and achieving something is such a fantastic feeling like no other.
It’s very easy to set unachievable and daunting goals in the New Year. I want to run 5k for example (Just an example, I would die!) but instead of putting that, try putting I want to run twice a week for half an hour. Building this up to three times a week for an hour within the last half of the year for example.
Step by step, day by day.

I really want to create more magical content which I truly love. I loved my Instagram feed the most when It was pretty in pink and featured themes such as magic, princess, pretty and elegant content. This year I got distracted with my content and posted what I thought other people would enjoy instead of what I wanted. You know what, since shifting to posting content I like, I have seen higher engagement. As a content creator, you really must be passionate about what you’re posting. It truly does shine through and portrays to your followers.
Read ten books by the end of this year and get into reading more. I love reading but don’t seem to have enough time or make time for it. I’ve genuinely noticed such a difference in my sleep when I read before bed instead of scrolling. Ten is the minimum amount of books I want to read, I’ve read two already so I am making good tracks!
Go on a beautiful holiday somewhere new, by myself and completely relax.
My last holiday wasn’t as relaxing and idyllic as it may have seemed for various reasons. I am a huge advocate of solo travel, obviously, you have to sadly have your wits about you as a girl. Travelling alone means you can do what you want when it’s the best! I would quite like to go to Greece or Italy as I have never been to either. Prague is on my list to travel to this year too! I love nothing more than travelling and exploring new places. It’s so much fun!
Travelling is the best regardless if it’s alone or with others… You do you and don’t be afraid to miss out on an opportunity if friends, partners or family can’t make it!
Enjoy my 25th year of life. I turned 25 in January and had a wonderful birthday with my family. It was perfect, a beautiful pink cake with macaroons, Chinese for dinner and the new Little Women movie. I aim to spend my 25th birthday year with no regrets, living my life how I want to, travelling, living and loving life. If I’ve learnt anything lately it’s that life can be short and every single day should be cherished. Stop pleasing others over yourself, please yourself first! Look after yourself too!
Drink coffee and let yourself eat that slice of cake. I’ve gone through a weird phase this year of feeling guilty when eating too many sweet treats. It’s totally okay to treat yourself to whatever food you want. It’s something I aim to work on this year. Not feeling guilty for eating cake now and then, having a sweet treat or buying Starbucks when I have a perfectly good coffee machine at home. Life was made for enjoying, eat that cake! Treat yourself to Starbucks or a glass of wine out with a friend!
Make yourself a priority. This is something that I have been working on for the past few years. It is definitely not selfish and 100% okay to do. At the end of the day, you are responsible for yourself and the only one in charge of your mind and body. Do what makes you happy, feel good, happy and sparkle. Always prioritise yourself and your happiness over others. It’s so important, of course sometimes you need to compromise. However, overall, make sure you are your own priority and don’t put others’ needs above yours at the detriment to yourself.
Exercise and drink more water. I really got into working out last year and then sadly had to take some time out from the gym and exercise for medical reasons. I can’t wait to get back into exercise this year. Once the weather is nicer I am excited to run again and spend time in the gym too. Working out gives you positive endorphins and I really do notice a difference in my mood. Sometimes, I don’t want to work out but always feel better for doing it.
I hope this blog post inspired some of your New Years dreams and goals. Remember to set yourself small steps rather than one large daunting goal. Take this year easy, day by day and step by step. Each day is a new day, a fresh start and a blank canvas. It always gets better and nothing is perfect, however, life can get pretty close sometimes.
I really do hope that we all have the best 2022, wishing you all happiness this year!
