Tom’s 100th Birthday Walk For The NHS from his garden
Meet Captain Tom Moore, he’s 99 years old and walking 100 lengths of his back garden (click to watch BBC video) to raise money for the NHS during these tough times. He will be doing this before the end of the month when he will be turning 100 years old.
Maytrix will also be collaborating and donating £1 for every length that Tom does of his garden. This is such an incredible idea from Tom and very kind. He will be doing 10 laps a day, probably more productive than me during self-isolating if I’m completely honest! Incredible idea.
You can donate and support Tom’s 100 laps by clicking HERE. Every little counts, even if you only donate £1, it’s better than nothing! Well done Tom!

The DIY social distancing journal to calm your mind
Life isn’t normal right now, and that is totally OK.
https://www.bethantaylorswaine.com/blog/
A fellow blogger Bethany has shared a great idea, a social distancing journal to calm your mind and soul. Journals have been around for a while now and they’re great fun wether you are creative or not. The idea of getting anxious thoughts and a buildup of stress out into paper really does excite me. Maybe I am boring or maybe I’m right, I’ll let you guys decide that.
Journals are a great way to show gratitude, start a new healthy habit, write down your thoughts or draw and create away your stress. The idea is to use journaling as your calm space. Bethany provides a free journaling guide to get you started and inspired.

There ain’t no party like a Houseparty party…?
If you haven’t heard of the Houseparty app then where have you been? It’s an app that allows up to ten people to video call, watch Netflix together and play games. It’s completely free, safe to use and fun!
On Monday night it was one of my good friends’ 23rd birthday. We had all planned to go out to Cambridge and enjoy a few drinks but sadly thanks to lockdown we couldn’t. Instead, we decided to have a virtual party via the Houseparty app. Drinks were had, games and music played. It was fun! I would highly recommend the platform to stay in touch with friends.
You can find the free app HERE.
