Hopefully, you would have noticed that there has been a lack of blog posts and online activity for the past month. I decided to take September off social media for two reasons. Keep reading to find out what those reasons were and what I’ve been up to…
Three years ago I was an anxious, less confident and shy person who could have never dreamed to be where I am now. I never thought I would go to university let alone get five offers and two unconditionals. Of course, everyone works hard to get to university but for me it’s been much more. It’s been a struggle of happiness, self-belief, passion and drive.
I hope you are all well! A few weeks ago I made some delicious low sugar iced tea and some of you asked for the recipe! I did a poll on Instagram and many of you voted for me to make a blog post with the recipe so here it is.
This is a low calorie, natural version of Lipton’s delicious ice tea …
*This recipe serves four ice tea lovers*
I was recently invited to an event with Giff Gaff. If you aren’t aware of who Giff Gaff are, they are a mobile provider.
Giff Gaff’s event involved a board game where we (bloggers) had to group together and chose where to spend and where the save. The top three winners of the board games would win money to give towards their chosen charity.
Recently I celebrated my 21st birthday belatedly with my God Mother. My mum and God Mother came to visit me in Birmingham for a girly weekend. I vlogged the whole weekend which you can find HERE.
I love Birchbox and they’re a company that I one day aspire to be a Digital Marketer for. They seem like such a fun, creative, inspiring and modern company whom I would love to be a part of. Not only are they a really cool company but of course their monthly boxes are amazing! They’re such an affordable monthly box of beauty treats for us beauty addicts.
Birchbox offers such an easy service.
For quite a few years I’ve always wanted a tattoo. It’s taken me a while to figure out exactly what I want to permanently ink into my skin FOREVER. It’s quite a scary thought to invest in something permanently on your body especially as in life most things are not permanent or are easily reversible.
I’m writing this blog post at 2:48am when I should be sleeping but can’t. The best ideas for blog posts and well – ideas in general always come at the weirdest times I suppose!
I know I don’t normally blog about music and I know this isn’t Christmas themed so I apologise. Recently an artist sent me his EP via Instagram to give a listen to and some feedback. I just loved the EP so I decided to review it and share it with you all!
I think it’s important to support local and smaller artists in the music industry. I’m a huge music fan and I even used to do grades in piano and singing when I was younger and in high school!
I want to Introduce you to Jake Warner. He is a young musician from Leicester.
Jake started writing music two years ago. He writes his own music and says that he loved creating every song on this EP! Life is a story that inspired his lyrics.
“We’ve got the rest of our lives if we are gonna be together, it’s only hard for a while but when I see you we will say wasn’t that easy because we were meant to be”
His friends and fellow fans love his lyrics and continue to support him on his journey by attending his gigs and sharing their appreciation.
Jake hosted a headline show last year in Leicester and he was overwhelmed with the love and support that he received and he says that the feeling of the positive reactions, support and after show adrenaline are addictive and something that he hopes will continue to grow!
Jake’s new album will be out in December just in time for Christmas. I really enjoy his music and cute lyrics about love and girls.
He has a very soothing tone with the guitar and his singing and I’ve already added his new EP to my chilled out playlist and favourite songs playlist. His style reminds me of artists such as Ed Sheeran, James Bay and Shawn Mendes.
I think that he’s very talented and produced a high-quality EP with some really catchy tunes included. I’m sure I will find myself humming his songs. His song are all his own too rather than covers which I think is great.
What did you think of the EP? Please let me know in the comments below!
I personally loved the EP and I can’t wait to hear more of Jake’s music in the future! 🙂
See you next Sunday for the return of my Christmas blog posts!
